Hisense TVs have a reset button on only one platform: Hisense Roku TVs. It's a small recessed pinhole on the back, usually near the HDMI ports, labeled "RESET". On VIDAA, Google TV, and Fire TV models, there is no dedicated reset button — reset is done through the menu.

Hisense Roku TV reset button locations

The pinhole is on the back of the TV, near the I/O panel. Insert a paperclip and hold for 20 seconds with the TV on to factory-reset.

R6 / R6E / R6G series

R7 / R7E series

Back of TV, lower middle, between HDMI ports and joystick.

If you can't find the pinhole

The joystick on the back-right also resets. Press it in (click) and hold for 30 seconds.

VIDAA TVs (no reset button)

VIDAA TVs don't have a dedicated reset button. Software-only reset.

Method 1: Hold power button for 60 seconds

Forced reboot — drains power capacitors, restarts firmware. Fixes 60% of issues without losing settings.

Method 2: USB keyboard for menu navigation

Plug USB keyboard into TV's rear USB port. Use arrow keys + Enter to navigate to Settings → System → Reset → Factory data reset.

Method 3: Phone app

Install the Remote for Hisense TV app, pair, navigate to Settings → System → Reset.

Hisense Google TV (no reset button)

Recovery mode

  1. Unplug TV.
  2. Hold the physical power button.
  3. While holding, plug in the power cord.
  4. Continue holding for 30 seconds.
  5. The TV may boot into Android recovery.

Hisense Fire TV (no reset button)

Plug a USB keyboard in, navigate to Settings → My Fire TV → Reset to Factory Defaults.
