To cast to a Hisense TV, open a supported app like YouTube on your phone, tap the Cast icon, then pick your TV from the list. The exact path depends on your TV's system — Google TV uses Chromecast, VIDAA casts YouTube and Netflix, and iPhones use AirPlay on 2020-and-newer sets.
I've cast to three Hisense sets at home — a U7G on VIDAA, a 2022 A6 on Google TV, and an older R6 Roku model. The Google TV one just works with the Cast button. The VIDAA U7G needed YouTube's own cast, plus AirPlay for my iPhone. Same brand, three different paths — that's the part most guides skip.

Before you dig through menus, try this quick check.
- Put your phone and TV on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open YouTube on your phone and play any video.
- Tap the Cast icon — a small screen with a wave — near the top.
- If your Hisense TV appears, tap it. You're casting.
If nothing shows up, your phone and TV are probably on different networks, or your model needs one of the specific methods below.

Method 1: Cast from an app on a Google TV Hisense
Hisense TVs that run Google TV or Android TV have Chromecast built in. This is the easiest path. Any app with a Cast button can send video straight to the screen.
- Connect your phone and TV to the same Wi-Fi.
- Open a cast-ready app — YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, or Prime Video.
- Start a video, then tap the Cast icon in the top corner.
- Pick your Hisense TV from the list.
Your phone becomes the remote. You can lock it and the video keeps playing. When it won't work: only Google TV and Android TV models have Chromecast built in. VIDAA and Roku models don't, so use Method 2, 3, or 4 instead.
Method 2: Cast YouTube and Netflix on a VIDAA Hisense
VIDAA is Hisense's own system, and it does not have Chromecast built in. But YouTube and Netflix still cast through their own link. This works on most VIDAA sets sold in Australia.
- Open the YouTube or Netflix app on the TV once, and sign in.
- On your phone, open the same app and tap the Cast or TV icon.
- If the TV isn't found, open YouTube on the TV → Settings → Link with TV code.
- Enter that code in the phone app under Settings → Watch on TV.
When it won't work: general Chromecast apps won't find a VIDAA TV — only apps with their own casting do. For anything else, use AirPlay for iPhone or Anyview Cast for Android below.
Method 3: AirPlay from an iPhone, iPad, or Mac
Most Hisense TVs from 2020 on support AirPlay 2, on both VIDAA and Google TV. This mirrors your whole screen or casts a single video from Apple devices.
- On the TV, go to Settings → System → AirPlay & HomeKit → turn AirPlay on.
- On your iPhone, open Control Center and tap Screen Mirroring.
- Pick your Hisense TV, then type the code shown on screen.
- To cast one video, tap the AirPlay icon inside an app instead.

Method 4: Mirror your whole screen with Anyview Cast (Android)
Anyview Cast is VIDAA's screen-mirroring tool. It uses Miracast, so it copies your entire Android screen instead of casting one app. Use it when an app has no Cast button.
- On the TV, press the Input or Source button and choose Anyview Cast.
- On your Android phone, open Smart View, Screen Cast, or Wireless Display.
- Select your Hisense TV and accept the request on the TV.
When it won't work: Miracast can lag with fast video, and some phones (like Google Pixel) dropped support for it. Those phones need a Google TV Hisense or a plug-in Chromecast instead. Hisense covers Anyview Cast in its official support pages.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why won't my Hisense TV show up when I try to cast?
Your Hisense TV usually won't appear because it's on a different Wi-Fi network from your phone. Put both on the same band and try again. Other causes are a VIDAA TV with no Chromecast, a sleeping TV, or a router that blocks device-to-device traffic. Restart both and check the network names match.
Does a Hisense TV have Chromecast built in?

Can you cast to a Hisense TV without Wi-Fi?

Why does casting to my Hisense TV keep buffering?
Casting buffers when your Wi-Fi signal is weak or the network is crowded. Move your router closer, switch to the 5GHz band, and close other streaming devices. On VIDAA, screen mirroring with Anyview Cast lags more than true casting — switch to a Cast button or AirPlay if your model supports it.
